Boomerang is a service that manages replies to multiple outbound SMS messages sent to a variety of recipients, irrespective of the order by which they are returned. By guaranteeing the delivery of a specific response back to your organisation’s database record, Boomerang enables continuation of your database work flow via SMS. Such automation will achieve substantial savings, improve compliance and auditability and will also enhance the experience of both your customers and staff alike.
Type of Accounts
Pay As You Go: Immediate set up using a credit card. You can also pre-pay via BACS, Electronic transfer or cheque.
Monthly: An account with credit terms normally activated within 2-3 days of the appropriate checks being satisfied.
Service Licences
A Boomerang message licence is a mandatory requirement, the selection of which is based on the number of messages your organisation would expect to send over a normal month. When selecting the message licence, a choice of two API services are available - Boomdata or Boomcomm. Boomcomm is our flexible API allowing your organisation to interface with Boomerang's unique technology by accessing methods over HTTPS. The API has been designed with the requirements of your developers in mind, enabling the creation of web and desktop applications with minimum fuss. There are also a number of different ways to access your Boomerang account including: SOAP, REST and E-mail combined with the option to retrieve messages and responses in either XML or JSON.

Boomdata is designed for organisations dealing in high volume two way SMS and whose core requirements centre upon stability and security. The service is tightly monitored, offering 24 hour support and 256 bit SSL security. Boomdata allows your organisation to send and receive messages and offers an interface for accessing methods over HTTPS. The API will make it easy for your developers to create web and desktop applications. We provide a number of different ways to access your Boomerang account including: SOAP, REST and E-mail. You also have the option of retrieving your messages and responses in either XML or JSON.
Provided for our enterprise clients, this service can only be accessed through our 256 bit HTTPS secure API. We offer cast iron guarantees with this service backed up with detailed service level agreements.

The message validity licence determines the period over which outbound messages will remain "open" - awaiting a response from the recipient. When a delivered message reaches the expiry period appropriate to the validity licence purchased, the messages will automatically close. The licences listed below outline the duration over which messages may remain active. Please note that a message sent using "Open ticket" will remain active for a maximum of two weeks.

Products
If you wish to use one of Boomerang's products: Boommail or Boommask, a licence is required to determine the appropriate number of users. A description of these products and the user licence costs can be accessed by clicking the drop down button for each product.
Utilising one of the most widely distributed software applications in the world - Microsoft Outlook; you can now empower your staff to use sms messaging from their Outlook account at the push of a button. This will automatically allow replies to any outbound messages back into the Outlook account of the sender without the need for an expensive virtual number. You will control the level of access for each user whilst making your organisation far more compliant with access to a record of all inbound and outbound activity. You are also empowering your staff to utilise one of the world's primary communication methods at a fraction of the price of a complicated and expensive single- user managed sms application.

Boomcare is Boomerang’s comprehensive support management package providing dedicated, reliable support by utilising Boomerang’s expansive network of resources and performance monitoring tools. Faults are quickly identified and reported issues are professionally resolved in accordance with our Service Level Agreements. Boomcare also offers valuable reporting functionality – providing regular updates on performance measures such network and hardware availability. Boomcare is available for both of Boomerang's API solutions: Boomcomm and Boomdata

All of your inbound and outbound messages can be stored on the Boomerang application ensuring you have full access to important data at all times - essential for compliance, auditing or general information. This is supported by a detailed reporting function, allowing you to accurately measure the success of your SMS messaging. We also give you the ability to manage campaigns through the Boomerang system.
Storage costs £5.00 for each and every month of storage.
On sending a SMS message a Single ticket remains open until a response is returned from the recipient, at which point the ticket closes. You can also determine the period for which a single ticket will await a reponse until automatically closing, by selecting the appropriate Message Validity license .This will allow your customer to reply to a specific question from your database over a period of time.
Open ticket allows a recipient to return multiple messages to the same ticket for a pre-defined period which is governed by the Message validity license taken. Open ticket would be used for example to update the status of a particular job over a period of time... This will facilitate database updates by your customers or staff in real time.
The first message is free. Additional messages will be charged at £0.02 pence per message.
Profile Identifier or "PID" services, allow you to overwrite an existing message sitting in a recipient's handset, irrespective of whether this has been read. This ensures the recipient receives the latest information you wish to send, giving the ability to reply, with for an example an order, straight back into their account on your database.
You may decide to have your own dedicated number range giving you the benefits of Boomerang's service, exclusively to your organisation. Again, you do not have to worry about numbers, data management or messages, we take care of that for you, you just get on with what you do best.
Resellers
As a Boomerang reseller you can add this unique SMS based technology into your suite of solutions whilst generating additional revenue for your organisation:
A direct reseller manages the client account, including all billing and day to day administration.
A direct reseller receives a discount of 30% on all licence costs and a discount of 10% on all message traffic.
An indirect reseller defers the management of clients to Boomerang, including all billing and day to day account administration.
An indirect reseller receives a discount of 25% on all licences and 10% of all message traffic.
