Boomerang granted first international patent from Federal Republic of Nigeria

Boomerang, the groundbreaking provider of patented intelligent SMS technology, today announced that its two-way or threaded SMS technology has been granted its first international patent from the Federal Republic of Nigeria Patents and Designs Office.  Today's announcement follows the company's recent announcement that it has also been granted a further UK patent for Boomlocal which enables businesses to engage interactively with customers and staff around the world via the universal messaging system, SMS.

Founder of Boomerang, Peter Tanner said, "I am particularly pleased that the first international patent received by Boomerang has been issued in Nigeria.  As developing nations witness continued growth and maturity in their use of communications systems and devices, Boomerang is helping to fuel global communications through our mobile communications automation technologies (mCAT)."

Boomerang provides businesses across both the public and private sectors with an extremely cost-effective, application-to-person (A2P) communications solution based on SMS technology.

Embedded within an organisation's existing CRM, ERP, workforce management or back office system, the patented Boomerang technology not only facilitates the sending and receiving of multiple messages, it solves the difficult and time-consuming problem of correlating a received message with the original message.
